Natalja Sawal performs in showcase and competition dances through the USA and Europe winning countless competitions in ballroom, salsa and country western dance. Recent awards include 2010 Semifinalist Rising Star Latin at the Emerald Ball; 2010; Finalist Open Pro in the Texas Classic; 2010 3rd Place Open Pro in the Sapphire;  2009 1st Place NYC Big Apple Dance Competition UCDA; 2009 National Champion, ACDA; 2009 3rd Place in the World Championship Country Western Dance Competition Final; 2008 Champion NYC Big Apple Dance Competition, Champion Texas Classic Dance Competition, Champion Los Vegas Dance Final and 2nd Place in the World Championship Country Western Dance Competition 2008, 2009, and 2010.  She also won “Best Teacher” award at the Southwester Invitation Dance Competition, Dallas Dance Festival and numerous other competitions in 2008, 2009, and 2010,  

Natalja is additionally an accomplished musician with extensive performance experience as a solo classical pianist and jazz band pianist playing concerts throughout Europe, Russia, China and the USA. She’s an accompanist musician and dance accompanist for Texas Ballet Theater, Texas Christian University, and a member of the SCCD faculty at Texas Christian University teaching courses in Latin Ballroom Dance. She has worked for the Paris Opera Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, Suzanne Farrell Ballet, and for Kennedy Center Dance and Education Department, to name a few. She trained from 1995-2000 at the Hochschule fur Music und Theater - Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig, Germany and earned masters degrees in both Ballet Accompaniment and Improvisation.
